Similes

Using a simile makes your writing easier for the readers to see. Similes help compare something to something else to create a better description of what you are trying to convey.

Similes use the words "like" or "as". Here are two (bad) examples:

1. The swan's feathers were as soft as cotton candy.

2. The monkey swung like a child on monkey bars.

These are two similes that can help you understand how soft something is or how the monkey swung. This can be a very good tool while writing.

DO NOT OVERUSE THIS. Your readers will grow tired and to use too much of any writing tool is to convey not the best writing.

Hope you liked this!
