Creating a Memorable Setting

Today I will be talking about how to create a memorable setting in your piece.

Before I start, this will be towards writers of novels or short stories, or a different form of fiction. Next I will be posting a post aimed for readers. If you are struggling with essays, etc, please comment and I will post for writers doing nonfiction work.

When writing, you want to be able to create a setting that your readers will remember. You want it to seem realistic, but don't be afraid to add fantasy elements to your setting.

Your setting should be composed of...

*A certain place

*A certain time

*Characters

When creating a setting, you want to be able to make sure that it sticks in your reader's minds. Make sure that it isn't a crazy name that readers will forget after reading.

You want to be able to have a setting that will make your readers WANT TO READ ABOUT!!!! Most people think that reading descriptions are boring, but you can create a setting that your readers will WANT to read about, and will not mind all of the description!
